The five pillars of the IT strategy at the Cellforce Group

The Cellforce Group (CFG) – a joint venture of Porsche AG and the battery specialist CUSTOMCELLS – is focusing on scalable solutions in the cloud as part of its digital product strategy.

The basis for digital product decisions are five strategic IT goals of Cellforce. Central to this: scaling and speed as indispensable building blocks to ensure the development and production of a completely new standard in the field of high-performance battery cells for the global automotive industry. Also central to the holistic product launch: high employee acceptance, the highest level of data security, and a focus on developing data-driven and scalable application scenarios for a new benchmark in the battery industry.

An initial successful example of this is the product launch of the S/4HANA Public Cloud. Thanks to the close collaboration of all partners in one product team, the go-live was completed after just 90 days.

Hannes Schreyer (Head of IT & Organization at Cellforce Group) shared the experience at the DSAG Annual Conference together with Sven Mulder (Managing Director SAP Germany). “The implementation of S/4HANA Public Cloud at Cellforce Group fully pays into Cellforce’s IT strategy and enables optimal digital business processes in procurement, finance and supply chain,” said Schreyer. “I am very pleased that we were able to share our experiences with the participants of the DSAG Annual Conference together with SAP and provide insight into our success factors.”
